For those who haven't visited Bogota before, I would like to add my support to Hugo's email below -

While of course there are no guarantees of being safe anywhere in the world now, you are in good hands with Hugo and as long as you follow the advice of the locals (who are exceptionally warm, friendly and welcoming) probably your biggest danger in Bogota is Hugo's sense of humour!"
